Journal entry Lesson three

I have way slacked as usual in my distant learning class and am trying to make up for all the lost time due to my month long vacation. I am suppose to write about something of controversy in the news.
I have decided to talk about the NBA referee that is accused of shaving points in gamed last season. I have to hope that this is just a hopeless accusation and not true. The referee is the one person in sports that you look at for justice this is the judge of the game the policeman or woman that is upholding the rules of the game. I this comes out that he was in fact making bogus calls to support his gambling habit I think that kids all over will look at the referee just a little bit different. I remember the ref in grade school as someone that you looked up to and that no matter what he/she was right and fair in their instant decision and if this had happened when I was a kid mt sense of right and wrong would have been skewed.
Another topic is what is worth arguing for? If have recently learned that some things that I once thought were worth arguing for are not so important anymore. I think that family, kids and wife are worth arguing for. I believe my sister and her husband and girls are worth arguing for as well as my parents and their feelings. I think that for me rights for such individuals like the gay community are worth arguing for. I guess looking at this list what is wroth arguing for are the goals and attributes that I want to pass on to my children are worth arguing for. After going to the Holocaust memorial Human rights are worth arguing for. Maybe if one person early on just stood up and argued the world would have stopped a mad man earlier.
