Happy Birthday Girls

OK I know that I have not left any posts lately but that is because no one left any comments (excluding Ma King she is the best:)) But Two of our best friends are having birthdays and it is only fitting that they were born next to each other. So this blog is First to Sarah and the next to Kirsten.
Sarah Reed. (she is married but forever in our hearts Reed) I first met Sarah at the Pump house during Karaoke and she got up and sang Baby got Back. She came back to our table and everyone just seemed to be drawn to her. She Commanded the table and the conversation included everyone and made me feel a though I had known her for years. I remember telling Anna that I really liked that Sarah and her boyfriend. It took a little while but next thing that you know we were going over there house for dinner (Halibut Olympia and it rocked) We watched Jackass 2 and all four of us laughed until it hurt. We helped them move into their house and next thing you know we were helping paint, then get them ready for the wedding. Sarah is always there for my kids and has welcomed us into her family. From going on a hike in Denali with her and John, to sleeping in the RV with us listening to me snore. And us listening to her fart, wait maybe that was my wife, she is a person that we have grown to love and cherish. We have such good memories from sitting around watching movies, watching her jump and cling to her brothers arm while watching the new Halloween, to having dinner at her house with her family, thats right her family which is now our family, she has given us the friendship and belonging to a family that we have been missing. Because of her we have John her husband, Peter her brother, Jeff her father, and Mary Reed (WHO ROCKS!!!! we love you Mary) We love you Sarah, and hope to have many more late nights playing poker, enjoying margaritas and laughing because that is a sound that we love, Our world is right when our kids can hear your laugh and recognize it before they see you, remember Sarah if you are ever upset, when we had a party and I was scolding Abby and her looking for YOU through a crowded room and screaming SAWRAH PWEASE!!

Now on to our little Oklahoma transplant via Seattle, Kirsten is one of the most eclectic people that I have ever had the privelage of meeting. She swept into our lives with Daphne from Seattle. How did she get up here??? She thought that it might be fun and interesting. I remember first really getting to know Kirsten when Anna told me that we were going over the tall LPN in Mental health for dinner. We showed up to a bevy of smells wafting out of her kitchen, I learned so much that day about Kirsten. She not only went out spent a bunch of money on dinner but served it to us with such presentation that any 4 star restaurant would have been jealous. Kirsten is such an interesting friend that I can literally spend hours just picking her brain. She is one of the smartest people that I have ever met and she can hold a crowd with almost a hypnotic trance while she describes books or poems or anything that has recently caught her attention. She has a smile that makes you feel welcome and lucky to have her as a friend. She has such compassion for all creatures and people and always thinks the best of people even when she shouldn't (Why are you hitting me) Two summers ago she left for Seattle and if it had not been for her boyfriend Andy I think that she may have been gone for good. I remember when she drove away Anna and I looked at each other and we both had tears in our eyes. She is back and in our hearts because Kirsten you are stuck with us and we don't even care about the pee rug!!! We love you and happy birthday girls!!

PS... my word verification was FYKWT, which is totally like "fuckwit". That made me laugh. But now it's ebzougl, which is like nothing, and therefore, not funny.

That's my girl......
Has a way with words, doesn't she?

By-the-by, Sarah was the sweetie we drove down the Alcan in tandam with. That was a crazy trip, complete with walkie-talkies and her and Tiff molesting a cardboard cop. Yup....I've got a picture to prove it. You're right. She's a keeper.
