Thanksgiving 2nd year in a row
Here I sit in the ER and think about all that has happened in the past year. I had surgery, Abby has grown and is now talking, Joseph is in BMX, and Tang soo Do, Justin is excelling in school, and loving for the first time I think life. It is amazing when I look back upon all the posts over the last year. Jim and Julie are still in New Hampshire and we still miss them more every day. Amy and Eric moved away this past summer as well and although we have not heard from them we hope that they are doing well in Washington. Mom and Dad are enjoying life and we hope to see them in August this summer. Amy is a whirling dervish of energy as she never rests (she needs to invite Terry over listen to Amoxoma or any dead CD and relax) although she has the BEST advice for me and will stop and listen when Anna or I need her to. Jack has a new business and is working his butt off, but there for a frantic phone call to calm me down when I need it, Eric is married and is the constant in his own mind, Anna is playing hockey and exploring herself as to who she is for the first time in her life. George is spoiling the kids rotten like a grandpa should and has Abby doing bagel dances and inventing new songs for her. I could not be happier for my family (except for a skeleton in the closet) We have new family here in Fairbanks Sarah and John martin/Reed are a constant who we treasure, the times we spend with them are funny and ones we cherish, We love you guys and can't wait for new adventures. Bevin and Garrett are there for us to go to BMX or camping or to share a bottle of wine. Peter and Katie are there for us to drag out of their dungeon to have a good time, every time we hang out with them it is a blast. Mary and Jeff they are a calm influence in our lives, they give us the parental advice that I in particular need from time to time. I have been given Mary's shoulder when I needed it and they are 2 of the most incredible people that we know. Yevette and Rick, My spin Nazi and fireman. They are the most welcoming and inviting people that I know. They are always ready to go to a game, or to have a beer they both are truly genuine people that I hope to become close friends with. Andi and Dan what can I say you have been there for us through ups and downs, fights and hugs, we love you and will always consider you 2 of the finest human beings on earth. Denali, Pioneer Park, my house your house every place we create memories thank you thank you thank you. Kirsten and Andy the Anna and Scott in reverse, The meals you have cooked for us, the talks and philosophical conversations that Kirsten and I get into as Anna and Andy make fun of us, The doggy sitting, baby sitting, worrying about deploying, introducing us to Bobby if for no other reason I can finally say "Damn it Bobby" and feel justified in giggling. We love you. But I have also rekindled some friendships that I needed to and my talks with Rodney are never dull, Karen and Tom, were there for Anna and I in a way no one else was in a moment in my life that I thought would never happen. I truly learned how much I had taken the two of them for granted for so long. I love you Karen and wish that I had spent more time with you when I was in CT. That is one thing that I can remedy and plan on meeting the 2 of you in Vegas baby!!! My other cousin Kevin and his wife Kathleen were there for me as well and I for the first time really hung out with Kevin and I never knew how much fun I could have with him. Kathleen met Anna for the first time and in Anna's words "I love that fuc*ing women can't wait to drink another shot with her". Auntie and Uncle, Thank you for opening your house to me when I needed it. You took us in and treated my kids the same as your grand kids, They are already talking about visiting Auntie and Uncle again. Ma and Pa King, the love and hospitality you showed us was overwhelming. I have never so instantaneously been welcomed by two people into their home. You have shown me the person that I hope to be like one day, and your salad and ribs were out of this WORLD!! Tiffany, we have only talked on the phone a few times but I have lived through your blog and am so glad that you have found your niche in this crazy world. You are forever one of favorite people (never ever forget the 5-6 bottles of wine killed on the back deck or the ritas we killed with holy guacamole) To all my friends and family thank you. It is you that makes me and my family who we are. I thank you and god that I have all of you in my life.

That is so sweet, I almost need pancakes to go with that syrup! Scott...you are such a girl! I am only kidding!
You should be very thankful for your beautiful family! I know that you are. Take care.
Sam
Aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww, aren't you just precious?!?! It is a whirlwind of a life, isn't it? Thanks for the nod, and for Ma and Pa King's, too. We are blessed to be a part of your life, too, even from a distance for now!
Wow!!! That was MORE than worth sharing recipes for. All of our children have been gracious enough to share their friends with us and we are better for it. Those were lovely days we spent with you in SC and we look forward to more. Thanks for putting us in such good company! Our love to you all........
PS....My verification word includes "ezpz".... something I say all the time! How crazy...
I seek out my own glimpses of peace.....without Terry!
Very sweet little bro. You and Anna are undoubtedly blessed with the people you have chosen in your inner circle. So glad that I'm allowed into it (I'd like to think I'd be in it even if you weren't required to have me because we share a set of genetics). By the way, ever wonder why you have such fabulous people in your life?........because you are pretty fantastic too.
~Amy
Amen... pass the food and into the next year and onto the new adventures! I can't wait! Love you guys... ~Reed
Made me cry! My Mom and Dad (Auntie and Uncle) are visiting this week...and I just read part of your post to them. They were very touched, and they send their love to you (as does Tom). I love you so much! I miss you and would love to meet up with you in Vegas! What a blast we would have...
Hugs and Kisses to you, Anna, and the kids. Love, Karen.
Hi honey,
This comment is a little late - sorry. I love your Thanksgiving blog. You are certainly lucky to have all the people you mentioned to be thankful for.
Kahlil Gibran says it best: "And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit." Your spirit is certainly deepened with your circle of friends.
As always, I love you all. Mom
